Viktor Burghardt
I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, and will be a research member at the Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute (SLMath) in the fall of 2026.

I received my PhD in mathematics at Northwestern under the supervision of Paul Goerss. My main fields of research are algebraic geometry, motivic homotopy theory, stable homotopy theory and higher category theory. I also have interests in cryptography and computer science in general.
