Sunspot Group on May 4, 2005
by Mike Radwick
This photograph was taken at 5:05pm EDT on May 4, 2005 from the front yard of my home in Canton, Michigan.
The Meade Lunar-Planetary-Imager (LPI) camera was used with a Meade ETX-90 telescope and a home-made
filter using Baader solar film.
Exposure was .044 seconds.
Camera resolution is about 1.3 arc-seconds/pixel (actual resolution lower due to atmosphere).
Apart from cropping the image, no processing enhancement has been done.
WARNING: Viewing the sun without proper protective devices can result in permanent eye damage.
