Partial Solar Eclipse of December 25, 2000

Taken by Mark Deprest at 12:39 PM during the partial solar eclipse of December 25, 2000.
He used eyepiece projection photography
with a 5” f/5 refractor, a 22mm Rini Modified Plossl
occular, a 35mm Pentax camera and Superia 200 print film.
You can observe several sunspots in this photograph.
WARNING: Viewing the sun without proper protective devices
can result in permanent eye damage.
