The Moon and Mars

This photo was taken by Mark Deprest on July 17, 2003. The red dot above
the moon is the planet Mars.
The photograph was a 1/4 second exposure using ISO 400 Fujicolor Superia film
at prime focus with a 1.5x barlow through a 5 inch f/6.5 refractor. He took
the photo from his back deck at 4:00 AM using a Pentax 35mm camera. The prints were
scanned and then contrast enhanced.
