Hi everyone,
It has been a while since I set up my scope to record some photons, so I took a few shots of M15 last night [Tuesday December 1, 2009] (yep! under the full moon!).
Here is the result of stacking a couple of them. Enjoy.
Details: Stack of 4 images each exposed 10 seconds at ISO1000 with Canon EOS30D camera at prime-focus of StarMaster 14.5inch scope. Telescope was controlled for the first time using PHD Guiding (with custom ASCOM driver written by yours-truely) by a Meade LPI camera and a William-Optics ZenithStar 66mm. Brian Ottum cleaned up the vignetting and preserved the color at the same time!
I have a whole bunch more with even longer exposure times that look good, but you'll have to wait until I have time to stack them.
Mike Radwick.
