The Comet C/2002 V1 Neat
Comet C/2002 V1 Neat
by Clayton Kessler
It was January 21, 2003; early evening. The comet was very easy to spot in
10X50 binoculars and it looked great in the 6” (a new Schmidt Newtonian
telescope).
Attached is a poor photo of the comet that I took that evening. This is
two exposures of 5 minutes each digitally combined. The shots were taken
on Kodak LE400 film. I used the Schmidt Newtonian for the astrograph.
The exposures were unguided which accounts for the poor quality.
