Astronomy Weekend at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum (Night Sky Network Demonstrations)
On Saturday April 21, 2007 and on Sunday April 22, 2007, the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and the University Lowbrow Astronomers hosted Astronomy Weekend at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum.
Over the weekend, there were several different activities.
The following photographs shows the Night Sky Network demonstrations that took place over the weekend.

Dave with four model Earth-Moon systems.
Charlie and Dave using the model to show why eclipses don’t happen every month.

Paul and Dave with a different model Earth/Moon system.
John explains why the full Moon is a poor time to observe the Moon.
Paul creates a shadow of the Earth using a 4” model earth and a piece of paper.
Charlie demonstrates the phases of the Moon.
Charlie using a model earth and a model moon to show how the phases of the moon work.
