Submissions
Michigan Journal of Business is currently seeking submissions for the first edition.
Submission Guidelines
We ask that you follow the guidelines below to facilitate the review process. Please note that you cannot submit a paper already published or submitted for review at any other journal. By submitting, you are giving MJB the rights to copyright and publication.
Requirements
The Journal only accepts works from undergraduate students or works completed during undergraduate study. Each manuscript submitted should include a short abstract, author information, and any acknowledgements. This information will be included in published articles.
Format
The Journal requires Modern Language Association (MLA) stylistic guidelines in its submissions. This denotes 12 point font, double-spaced, Microsoft Word document submissions. Any formulas or graphics should be submitted electronically as part of the Word document, if possible. If works must be submitted in other formats, contact us before sending.
Length
In general, all articles should be at least six pages, double-spaced, in order to be considered for publication. We do, however, accept case studies that may be shorter in length. While there is no strict upper bound to the length limit, we strongly recommend each manuscript to use space wisely with due consideration to its audience.
Content
Papers will be evaluated based upon sound analysis, originality of argument and novelty of research. Prospective authors are encouraged to consult the journals Harvard Business Review of Harvard University or the Journal of Business of the University of Chicago for models upon which to pattern their submissions.
Deadline
To be considered for our first publication, students should submit their paper by October 31st, 2007. To submit a paper for evaluation, please e-mail it as an attachment to mjbsubmission@umich.edu. Please include 'MJB Submission' in the subject line of the e-mail, to avoid spam filters. You may also pose any questions regarding paper submission to this address. Submissions must include your name, university, e-mail address, and title of paper.
