
What has an influence on the news we read and/or see? Why do we see the manifestations of bias as
discussed in the previous section? There are four main influences that cause bias to apper in the news, and these
are geography, ideology, institutional affiliations, and the nature of the medium. While all these influences do not necessarily affect every piece, most reporting is affected by
at least one or two of these influences.
 Not all mediums of information are equal. Some mediums present information ready to digest, while with other mediums one must be more careful while digesting information.
