4-Azidobutyl(3R,4R,4aS,7S)-7-[(2R)-2-azidoundecyl]-2-{[(7,7-dimethyl-2-oxobicyclo[2.2.1]hept-1-yl)methyl]sulfonyl}-3-methyl-1-oxooctahydropyrrolol[1,2-c]pyrimidine-4-carboxylate

Commonly asked questions:

Why trans? Don't you like your ester group cis to your carbon chain substituent? I'm having trouble understanding your diastereoselectivity.

Well, as an outspoken chem-inist, I believe that what I do with my molecular body is completely up to me. My atoms, my terms. I would naturally find my nitrogen groups (on my carbon chain) and my oxygen groups (on my ester) on trans to each other. Whenever I tried to force them to be cis, i would feel (electronically and sterically) repulsed with myself. I was so stressed and strained that I made the decision to have them trans to each other. In the end, I found myself happier this way. After all, it's my body and my choice. However, I always found my methyl group cis to my ester group, so sometimes compromise is the best answer.
