Mark Prior wrote a whois++ to LDAP gateway a couple of years ago. It's
included in the ldap-3.2 release under contrib/whois++/. Mark admits
that it is kind of out-of-date at this point, and may not even build as
far as I know, but you might start with that, at least. -- Tim
