Michigan Club Squash competes nationally, trains seriously, and builds a tight-knit community for the university's best players.
We compete in the College Squash Association (CSA) against top programs across the country, including regional and national championships.
Being part of Michigan Squash means being part of something bigger. We're a tight-knit group that pushes each other on the court and shows up for each other off it.
Michigan Club Squash was founded in 2018 with the hopes of providing a team atmosphere for squash players on campus. Since then, the team has seen immediate success at all levels of competition. Over the 2021–2022 regular season we went 10–0, which included taking down Denison University in our first win against a Varsity team and beating Ohio State twice. We continue to pursue a Club Team National Championship while strengthening squash at our University and in the state of Michigan.
Our agenda consists of weekly practices and numerous tournaments throughout the season that we both travel to and host. At Michigan, we push our athletes to become the best players they can be by offering development in squash technique, fitness, and strategy. We also require our players to show the highest levels of respect, honesty, and fairness towards their teammates and opponents at all times.
We also advocate for diversity and inclusion within our team, our sport, and our broader Michigan community. The squash team includes players hailing from all over the USA and world, including India, Vietnam, China, Singapore, Botswana, England and Pakistan, and we are always aiming to bring those with different perspectives and experiences into this organization. Being a part of the Michigan Squash Club not only means committing to athletic and team excellence, but also to active involvement in dialogues and activism to create a more inclusive organization, school, and world.
