Teaching
I connect mathematical structure, computation, and real decisions. Students use visual and computational demonstrations to build intuition, then work in teams to frame an ambiguous engineering or business problem, formulate and test a model, assess assumptions and sensitivity, and present an actionable recommendation to a nontechnical audience.
Teaching Experience
- Teaching record, Three semesters of Graduate Student Instructor experience. Worked with approximately 80 master's and undergraduate students; average teaching evaluation: 4.85/5.0.
- Graduate Student Instructor, IOE 524: Master's Students Practicum. Met weekly with project teams and provided technical feedback on applied data analytics and optimization projects, from formulation to interpretable recommendations.
- Graduate Student Instructor, IOE 543: Scheduling (two semesters). Taught class sessions, held office hours, developed interactive computational demonstrations, and guided student projects.
Service
- Session organizer and chair, INFORMS Annual Meeting. Organizes and chairs multiple sessions in optimization and operations research.
- Peer reviewer, Operations Research and IISE Transactions. Reviews research manuscripts in operations research and industrial engineering.
