1778 Francis Pickett served in the company of Captain Augustine Tabbs in Virginia. [1]

1793 Sally Wray and Francis Pickett were married on April 19 in Henrico County, Virginia. [2]

1824 The will of Reuben L Pickett [son of Francis Pickett] of Fairfield District was dated on September 14 naming wife Rebeckah Pickett and executors William Lewis and Robert Knox. Widow Rebeckah had no children by Reuben and then married Thomas Pickett. The brothers and sisters of Reuben petitioned the court for their interests in the estate. The brothers and sisters (and their spouses) were named as: Martha Boulware and husband Thomas, Robert Pickett, Thomas Pickett, Sarah Reynolds widow of William Reynolds deceased of the state of Georgia, and Nancy Beasley wife of Cornelius Beasley. 1825 Francis Pickett dated his will on July 18, naming five children: Robert, Thomas, Fanny Clayton (deceased with minor children), Nancy Beasley (to her children, when they are of age), Sarah Reynolds (without children at the time), Martha wife of Thomas Boulware. Executors: Musco Boulware and Jesse Havis. Witnesses: Joseph Caldwell, Ma's N Caldwell, Jeh'h Pickett. [4] [5] [6]

1826 Thomas Boulware and wife (Martha, daughter of Francis) filed a bill of complaint versus Thomas Pickett and wife Rebecca in the Fairfield court of equity, reporting the following [7] [8] [9] [10]:

Reuben L Pickett died in 1824 and his will, dated September 14, 1824, was administered by William Lewis and Robert L. Knox. His widow, Rebecca Pickett later married Thomas Pickett of Fairfield in the spring 1825 and planned on moving to Mississippi, with her inheritance. Reuben had no children but had sister Martha married to Thomas Boulware, brother Robert, sister Martha married to Thomas Boulware, brother Thomas, sister Sarah who had married William Reynolds (William had died in Georgia), sister Nancy married to Cornelius Beasley.

1827 The will of Francis Pickett of Fairfield District, Fairfield County named: Robert Pickett, who received $5 and no more and no fraudulent claims from him should be considered; Thomas Pickett; children of Fanny Claton (deceased) when they become of age; children of Nancy Beasely when they come of age; Sarah Reynolds who has no children; Martha Boulware wife of Thomas Boulware. Musco Boulware and Jesse Havis were executors. Lewis (Slave); Mariah (Slave); Rachel (Slave). Probate date was July 18. 1828 A sale was made from the estate of Francis Pickett. [19]

1829 Probate papers for the estate of Francis Pickett were filed in Fairfield, South Carolina. [20] Distributions were made to Janny Clayton's children ($677.96), Nancy Beasley deceased one son (903.95.8), Thomas Pickett (903.95.8), The following slaves and recipients were named:

Lewis (negro boy) to Thomas Boulware
Rachel (negro girl) to Thomas Pickett
Mariah (negro girl) to Sarah Reynolds

1832 The account by Muscoe Boulware of the estate of Francis Pickett was recorded in Fairfield, South Carolina. [21] [22]

The following negros were given off by deceased in his lifetime to wit to Thomas Bouleware a negro boy named Lewis. to Thomas Pickett a negro girl named Rachel and to Sarah Reynolds a negro girl named Mariah and deceased directs in his last will that these legatees shall account for the value of said negros respectively. Distributions were made to Fanny Clayton's children, Nancy Beasley is dead and left one son, Thomas Bouleware and Martha his wife, Thomas Pickett. (Robert Pickett crossed out)

1846 A letter in the estate packet of Francis Pickett named 6 children of Nancy Beasley. The handwriting is difficult to read. [23]

There are six of the children Micajah, Leroy, Kally, Frank, Patsy, & Eddy. and the best (?) can be (?) as to their being the children of Nancy Beasley aforesaid (?) request me to send to you that if your will of certain what is due to them and (?) them any rewards charge of your shall be paid (?) to my care.

1807 Shepherd Pickett and wife Susannah made a complaint against Samuel Stack, executor of the will of Reuben Stack. Susannah was the widow of Reuben Stack. [24]

1809 Shepherd Pickett sold property to pay debts. [25]

1812 Shepherd Pickett and wife Susannah (Knox) Pickett and Robert Knox sold land to John McCrary from the estate of Doctor James Knox. The land was on Fishing Creek. [26]

1813 The will of Shepherd Pickett was dated on September 21 in Fairfield District, South Carolina. Shepherd was of Fairfield District but was now in Jones County, Georgia. The will named wife Susannah and unnamed brothers and sisters. Witnessed by William Reynolds and others. [27] [28]

1824 The will of Reuben L Pickett [son of Francis Pickett] of Fairfield District was dated on September 14 naming wife Rebeckah Pickett, brother Thomas, and executors William Lewis and Robert Knox. Mary A Pickett was a witness. The will was proved on October 25. H.D. Watson, Reuben B Pickett, Minor Gladden, Thomas Lumpkin, and Reubin Witmore were potential assesors of the estate. [29] Letters of administration were issued. [30] The inventory was recorded. [31] The signature of Reuben L Pickett might be visible on his will. [32] Documents were recorded in books G-3, G-27, G-109. [33]

Widow Rebeckah had no children by Reuben and then married Thomas Pickett [perhaps Reuben's brother?]. The brothers and sisters of Reuben petitioned the court for their interests in the estate. The brothers and sisters (and their spouses) were named as: Martha Boulware and husband Thomas, Robert Pickett, Thomas Pickett, Sarah Reynolds widow of William Reynolds deceased of the state of Georgia, and Nancy Beasley wife of Cornelius Beasley.
