1776 George Bailey served in First Battalion under Col Henry Miller, Captain John Erman's Company in York County, Pennsylvania in the Revolutionary War. [2]

1777 George Bailey, perhaps this one, was a private in the Company of Captain John Erman, of the Seventh Battalion of York County. [3]

1786 George Bailey was listed on the septennial census for Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [4]

1790 George Bailey lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with 3 males under age 16, 1 males age 16 and over, and 5 females. [5]

1793 George Bailey was listed on the septennial census for Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [6]

1798 John, Jacob, George, and Daniel Bailey were all named in the U.S. direct tax list for Shrewsbury Twp, York County. George Bailey had a house adjacent to Peter Baker. [7]

1800 George Bailey lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (10 thru 15) and 1 (45 and over); and females: 1 (26 thru 44). [8] [9]

1804 George Bailey and wife Catharine of Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania sold land to Jacob Hayes. George had purchased one tract from Nicholas Rogers in 1795 and another tract from Solomon Nunamaker. [10]

1810 George Bailey lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (under 10) and 1 (45 and over); and females: 4 (under 10) and 1 (26 thru 44). This entry appears twice, on different pages of the census. [11] [12]

1840 George Bailey, age 90 was listed in the household of Henry Bailey. He was a veteran. [13] Henry Bailey lived in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (under 5), 1 (20 thru 29), and 1 (80 thru 89); and females: 1 (20 thru 29). [14]

1843 George Bailey died on November 23 and was buried at New Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery, Glen Rock, York County, Pennsylvania. [15] [16]

1811 Daughter Margaret Bely and Henry Merckel were married on June 1 in York, York County, Pennsylvania. [17]

1854 Son Peter Baily, spouse of Christina Baily, died on October 25. He was born on November 28, 1780. [18]

1858 Daughter Eva Elizabeth Kerchner died on September 11. She was born on September 2, 1780, daughter of Margaretha Baehli. [19] [20]

Margaret Gerberich is believed to have been born prior to 1770, and consequently in Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., Pa. She married George Bailey, and lived in the vicinity of Glen Rock, Pa. She had the following children living at the time that Peter Gerberich's will was probated (1805): Peter, John, Jacob, Eve,Elizabeth, and Margaret. [perhaps Eve Elizabeth was one name]

1814 John George Beley was baptized on April 3, 1814 in Springfield Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. John George Beley was born on February 13, 1814, child of Henry Beley and Catharine Beley. [22]

1850 Son(?) Henry Bailey (age 60, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with George Bailey (36), Margaret Bailey (40), Catherine Bailey (18), Isreal Bailey (16), Barbara Bailey (14), Louisa Ann Bailey (12), Henry N Bailey (10), Sarah S Bailey (8), John Ness Bailey (22), Emanuel Bailey (19), Catherine Bailey (60), and Nathaniel Ness (2). Henry Bailey was a laborer. [23]
