Notes for Jacob Bixler

1780 Jacob Strickler and Christian Bixler produced the account for Christian Bixler with balance £2,767.6.7 on March 28 at the York County Orphans' Court. This was distributed to John Bixler (oldest son), Christian Bixler, Joseph Bixler, Jacob Bixler, Michael Bixler, Jacob Strickler and wife Anna, Conrad Strickler and Christina, Valentine Shockey and Barbara, Ulrich Elliberger and Veronica, Peter Elleberger and Eve, Jacob Road and Mary, Ulrich Engel and Magdalena, and Catharine Bixler. [1]

1781 Jacob Bixler was taxed in Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [2]

1782 John Bixler (eldest son of Christian) and wife Susanna, of Manchester Twp, York County, purchased land from the estate of his father Christian, deceased, from the other heirs, on April 7. The other heirs were named as daughters Christina married to Conrad Strickler, Barbara married to Valentine Shokey, Veronica married to Ulrich Ellenberger, Eva married to Peter Ellenberger, Maria married to Jacob Roth, Magdalena married to Ulrich Engle, and Christina; and sons Joseph, Jacob, and Michael. [3]

1782 Jacob Bixler, of Manchester Twp, York County, sold land that he inherited from the estate of his father Christian Bixler, to Jacob Kopp on October 23. The land was adjacent to lands of Casper Knab, Christian Bixler Jr, Joseph Bixler, and others, and Codorus Creek. [4] A subsequent deed from Jacob Kopp to Phil Wagner stated that the land was inherited jointly by Jacob Bixler and Michael Bixler, the two youngest sons of Christian Bixler senior by his will dated March 3, 1777. [5]

1786 Jacob Bixler was listed on the septennial census in 1786 in Manchester, York, Pennsylvania, USA. [6]

1798 Jacob Bixler was not mentioned in his sister Christina's will. On 16 August, Christina Strickler, widow of Conrad Strickler, wrote her will in Hellam Twp, York County. She divided the estate into 15 equal shares for the children of brother John Bixler deceased, the children of brother Christian Bixler deceased, Veronica Elleberger, Eve Elleberger, Mary Roth, Magdalena Engel, brother Joseph Bixler, Catharina Strickler wife of John Strickler, brother Michael Bixler, children of John Strickler deceased, Jacob Strickler, children of Henry Strickler, Abraham Strickler, and Ulrich Strickler; and also to executor John Strickler for needs of sister Barbara Schacky wife of Valentine Schacky (who is to be excluded). Probate 9 November 1798. [7]

1782 Jacob Bixler (ph'd) was taxed on 400 acres at Manchester Township. [9]

1782 Jacob Bixler sold his inherited land. [10]

1785 Jacob Bixler was taxed as a single man living at Manchester Twp, York County. [11]

1786 Jacob Bixler was taxed on 250 acres at Manchester Township. [12]

1787 Jacob Bixler was taxed as a single man living at Manchester Twp, York County. [13]

1773 Jacob Bixler received a warrant for 20 acres in York County, Pennsylvania. [14]

1789 Jacob Bixler may be the Jacob Bixler who took communion at Lancaster in 1789. [15]

1790 Jacob Bixler, perhaps this one, lived in Manor Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in a household with 2 males under age 16, 1 males age 16 and over, and 1 females. [17]
