Notes for Henry Cockerham

1782 Henry Cockerham, son of Philip Cockerham deceased sold land to Joseph Carter on November 9. The 125 acre tract was on Roanoak River on the south side of Bufaloe Creek adjacent to land of John Stone. Wife Phebe released her dower rights in February, 1783 [see marginal note]. [1] The Henry named in this 1782 was at least age 21 at this time, since he sold land, so he was born before 1761.

1796 Henry Cockerham sold land to Samuel Hunter, both of Rutherford County, North Carolina on February 10. The tract was on Bullins Creek, part of Green River. Witnessed by Robert and John Young. [2] [3] [4] This Henry [which one is this?] was born before 1775.
