Blalock.STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, To the Sheriff of Rutherford County Greeting YOU are hereby commanded to summon George Cochran, and John Cochran, tho defendants above named, if they be found in your county to appear at the office of the Superior Court Clerk for the county of Rutherford at the Court House in Rutherfordton, within twenty-five days after the serv'ce of this summons on them and answer the complaint of the Plaintiff, copy of which will be filed according to law, and let them take notice, that if they fail to answer the complaint within the time prescribed by law the Plaintiffs will apply to the Court for the relief demanded in the complaint. It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that George Cochran and John Cochran, Defendants above named are not residents of the State, therefore publication of the above summons is ordered to be made in the Western Vindicator, for six successive weeks at the expiration of which time the cause will be heard. Each of the defendants can obtain a copy of the petition by applying to the court, or to Churchill & Whiteside, plaintiffs' attorneys, at Ruthorfordton.
