These notes for son Samuel Cochran of Rutherford County are part of our research of collateral Cochran lines of Nancy Cochran [1], spouse of Isaiah Pickett (an ancestor of Robert Wolfe). We do not how, or if, son Samuel might be related to Nancy Cochran Pickett. These notes are included here to provide access to other researchers and to allow Ancestry.com to identify possible DNA matches with Robert.

1802 Samuel Cochran and Sally Furlow were married on March 23 in Greene County, Georgia. [2]

1840 Samuel Cochran lived in District 235, Oglethorpe County, Georgia in a household with free white males: 1 (20 thru 29) and 1 (60 thru 69); and free white females: 1 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (50 thru 59); and 10 enslaved persons. [3]

1840 Charles T Glenn and Sarah A Cochran were married on September 11 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. [4]

1849 The will of Samuel Cochran of Oglethorpe, Georgia was dated September 7. The will was proved in 1850 in Oglethorpe Georgia USA. The will named Samuel Cochran, and Sarah Cochran (Wife). The will named enslaved persons Ann, Rachel, Ben, Grace, Peter, Letty, and Jacob. [5] [6]

1850 Samuel Coborn died in February, at age 78.He was born in Virginia. [7]

1850 The will of Samuel Cochran was presented at the March term of probate court in Oglethorpe, Georgia. [8]

1860 Sarah Cochran (age 74, born in South Carolina) lived in Georgia Militia District 235, Oglethorpe County, Georgia. [9]

1870 Sarah Cathran (age 82, born in South Carolina) lived in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, in a household with Charles Glenn (14), Susan Glenn (11), Chas T Glenn (54), Sarah D Glenn (46), Martha E Glenn, and Benj T Glenn (17). [10]
