c 1814 John Price served in the War of 1812 under Capt. Gingle. An undated pension application (WO 90704, WC 4025) named his widow as Kesiah Price. This must refer to John Price senior. [8]

1861 William Price enlisted in Company K, 16th infantry of the Confederate Army on April 20, 1861 in Polk County. He was born in Polk County, North Carolina. He died of disease in Virginia and mustered out on October 12, 1861. [18]
