1913 Susan McFerren died on March 19 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. She was born on June 17, 1825 in Mont Alto, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, daughter of Henry Wolf and Elizabeth Wolf. [8] [9]

Mrs. Susan, widow of the late Henry McFerren, died Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John G. Sly, 570 east Queen street, aged 87 years, 9 months and 2 days. Mrs. McFerren lived all her life in Mont Alto and while visiting her daughter here was seized with the illness that proved fatal. She is survived by these children: George, Harry and Robert, of Tiffin, Ohio; Mrs. James Biesecker and Mrs. Hiram Snyder of Mont Alto; Mrs. John Ely of town. One brother. Benjamin Wolf and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Wolf and Mrs. William Brown, all of Boiling Springs, also survive. Mrs. McFerren was a lifelong member of the United Brethren church at Mont Alto and was held in high esteem in that community.

Her remains will be taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Snyder, at Mont Alto, and funeral wi'l be held on Sunday, meeting at the house at 10:30 a. m. with services in the U. B. church, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Marks. Interment at Mont Alto.
