1599 Helen Decreetes wrote her will on September 20. [1] The will indicates that John and Helen had four children living when Helen wrote her will: John, Henry, Rebecca, and Ann.
In the name of god amen, The Six and Twentith day of September Anno Domini A Thowsand fyve hundred Nenety Nyne: And in the One and fortith yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lady Elizabeth by the grace of God Queene of England Frannce and Ireland Defender of the Faith &c: I Helen Decreetes wife of John Decreetes of London gent being of good and perfect mynde and remembrance (by and with the consent and agreement of my said husband) doe by these presents decare and make this my present testament and last will of for and concerning my part and portion of and in the somme of fyve hundreth poundes of lawfull money of England which Raphe Woodcock late Citizen and Alderman of London deceasssed in and by his last will and Testament id give and bequeath unto and amongst all the Children of WIlliam Woodcock his sonne (father of me the sayd Helen Decreets) which sayd fyve hundred pounds he the sayd Raphe Woodcock by the same his last will and Testament willed and devised should remayne in the handes of George Allen and Richard Aldworth his late servaunts during the naturall lief of the sayd William Woodcock and untill such tyme as the said children should be of the age of one and Twentie yeares ANd by the same his last will and Testament willed and devised after the decease of the sayd William should be equally payd and devided to and amongst the Children of the sayde William Woodock at the severall ages of One and twenty yeares and not before That is to say I doe give devise and bequeath my sayd part and portion of and in the foresayd somme of fyve hundreth pounds unto my sayd husband John Decrets And to John Henry Rebecca and Anne children of me the sayd Helen and of my sayd husband John Decreets (now living) and unto such Children as I shall hereafter have by my sayd husband equally betwene them to be devided The parts and portions of my sonnes therin to be payd at their severall ages of One and Twentie yeares And the portions and parts of my daughters therin to be payed vnto them at their sererall ages of One and Twentie yeares or dayes of maryage which shall first happen. And if any of my sonnes happen to decease before the age of One and Twenty yeares Or any of my Daughters before their age of One and Tewenty yeares or Day of mariage: Then my will is that my sayd husband shall h ave to his owne use the part and portion of such of them as so shall happen to Deceasse. And I do ordeyn and make my saye Husband John Decreetes my full and sole executor of this my last will and Testament ANd have hereunto put my hand and seale the Day and yeare above written. By me Ellin Decreetes Signed sealed and acknowledged the Day and yeare abovesayd by the sayd Helen Decreets for her last will and Testament for that her part and portion aforesayd in the presence of George Shether Scr and Robert Wynchett.

1622 "Fraunces Decreetes Daughter of John Decreetes Sargent paynter & of Grace his wife in Shoe Lane was baptised the 20L of August" in St Andrew Holborn, London. [8]
1624 "Grace Decreetes daughter of John Decretts Sargent painter & Grace his wife in SHoe Lane" was "bapti' 30th" of March in St Andrew Holborn, London. [9]
1627 "Henry Decreete Sonn of John Decreete Sargent painter & Grace his wife in SHoe Lane" was baptized March 30 in St Andrew Holborn, London. [10]
