Henry Greenawalt died in this place at 3 o'clock on Tuesday morning, of pneumonia, superinduced by la grippe. Mr. Greenawalt spent a day or two with his family on South Main street in the beginning of last week, on account of a slight attack of the grip, and during the severe illness of bis son Davison Greenawalt, in Hamilton township, with whom be spent much of his time. He returned to the country on Wednesday evening, saying that he was much better, but that night was taken sick. The next morning be was again brought home, at once taking his bed, when pneumonia set in and he expired as above stated.

Mr. Greenawalt was a native of Chambersburg, but since his marriage a in 1844, with the exception of about five years, has resided in the country. the greater portion of the time on the farm in the present ownership of Mrs. Grove, two miles West of Chambersburg. Here he was engaged in the pursuit of farming for 38 years, and until business misfortunes compelled his retirement several years. He was a man of quiet manners and warmly attached to his family and home. Born in Chambersburg on the 11th of September 1811, he was therefore in the 80th year of his age. He was the eldest and last surviving son of the late Godfrey Greenawalt, three brothers - John, Daniel, and ex-sheriff S. F. Greenawalt-having preceded him to the grave. Besides his wife and four children-Davison, Harry, Ella and Belle -he is survived by five sisters- -Mrs. Eliza Snider, Mrs. Susan Etter, Mrs. S. E. Hershherger, Mrs. H. M. White, all of Chambersburg, and Mrs. L. A. Shoemaker, of Philadelphia. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon. Interment in Zion's Reformed graveyard.
