1824 Reuben Staten and Katy Laughter were married on July 23 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. [1] [2] [3]

1827 Reuben Staton and wife Catherine C sold land to Standford Jones. The land was on the flat branch of Broad River adjacent to lands of Morgan and Miller in Rutherford County. Witnessed by J William Laughter. [4]

1830 Reuben Staton lived in Rutherford County, North Carolina in a household with males: 1 (Under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29); and females: 2 (Under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29). [5] Mary Cockrum, Gabriel Jackson, and William Waldrop were listed on the same page of the census.

1841 Reuben Staton received a land grant on the headwaters of North Packolet in Henderson County, North Carolina adjacent to lands of James Staton and Jonathan Pace. [6]

1850 Catharine Staton, married, died in February, at age 49. She died of Pneumonia. She was born in North Carolina. [7]

1850 Ruben Staton (age 50, born in North Carolina) lived in Broad River, Rutherford County, North Carolina, in a household with Sarah Staton (24), Samuel Staton (22), Catharine Staton (19), Benjamin Staton (17), Selena Staton (13), Mina Staton (10), Pholby Staton (3), and Mary Staton (1). Ruben Staton was a farmer. [8]

1860 R W Staton (age 60, born in North Carolina) lived in Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia, in a household with Sarah Staton (36), Salina Staton (25), Mtha Staton (22), Falby Staton (16), Mary Staton (13), Martha Staton (8), Matilda Staton (4), Lafayette Alexander (24), and Nancy Alexander (19). 1867 Reuben Staten signed the reconstruction voter registration oath book on July 13, 1867 in Hall County, Georgia. [10]

1870 Benjamine Staten (age 39, born in North Carolina) lived in Militia District 1070, Whitfield County, Georgia, in a household with Salina Slaton (30), Intha Slaton (26), Ruben Slaton (9), Thomas Slaton (7), Allice Slaton (5), and Cintha Slaton (2). Benjamine Staten's occupation was getting wood for rr. [11]

1880 Wiley B. Staten (age 53, born in North Carolina, married) lived in Varnells, Whitfield County, Georgia, in a household with Jane Staten (23), Ruben Staten (21), Thomas Staten (15), Aalice Staten (14), Cintha Staten (12), Mary Staten (5), Walton D Staten (4), Lyntha Staten (1), and Lenna Staten (35). Wiley B. Staten's father was born in Virginia and his mother was born in North Carolina. Wiley B. Staten was a farmer. [12]
