1801 Reuben Dalton purchased land from the estate of Rubin Windham, deceased, in Grainger County, Tennessee. [1] [2]

1805 Rubin Dalton was taxed in Grainger, Tennessee, USA. [3]

1814-15 Reuben Dalton Sr and Reuben Dalton Jr were taxed, each for 200 acres, in Grainger County, Tennessee. [4] [5]

1817 Reuben Dalton Sr sold land to Reuben Dalton Jr in on the north side of Clinch Mountain on the waters of Indian Creek, Grainger County, Tennessee. [6]

1819 Reuben Dalton Sr, Reuben Dalton Jr, Enos Dalton, Marida Dalton, and Carter Dalton were named as male inhabitants over the age of 21 in Captain McGinnis Company, Grainger County, Tennessee. [7]

1820 and 1822 Two men named Reuben Dalton died in Grainger County, Tennessee.

1820 The will of Reuben Dalton named sons Edley Dalton and Booker Dalton. [8] The estate of Reuben Dalton was administered. The will was dated July 22. The administration took place in August in Grainger County, Tennessee. [9]

1820 Reubin and Meredith Dalton attested that they had seen Reuben Dalton sign his will in Grainger County, Tennessee. [10]

1822 The last will and testament of Reuben Dalton deceased was proven in court by the oaths of David McCoy and Thomas Adams. [11]

1822 Reuben Dalton Sr died in August in Thorn Hill, Grainger County, Tennessee. Reuben Dalton Sr was buried at Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery, Thorn Hill, Grainger County, Tennessee. He was born in 1752 in Bedford, Bedford County, Virginia. [12]

The Dalton cemetery has two unmarked graves. [13]

1824 Meredith Dalton sold land to Jacob Hepshur. Meredith had inherited the land by Clinch Mountain on Indian Creek from his father Reubin Dalton. [14]

1834 The will of Meredith Dalton of Grainger County, Tennessee was dated on April 29. The will named sons Coalby Dalton and Reuben Dalton. Moses Payne was a witness. [15]
