1820 William Metcalf and Rubin Staton were appointed as patrollers in Captain Morrises company, Rutherford County, North Carolina. [1]

1828 William Metcalf sold land in Rutherford County to Johnson Bone. Witnessed by John W. Staton. [2]

1830 William Metcalf and other Metcalf's were indebted to George Lytle in Rutherford County, North Carolina. [3]

1837 James Staton personally reported to the clerk of the court that William Metcalf had made a payment on William's mortgage to Anderson Staton. [4]

1837 William Metcalf sold all of the land he owned to Anderson R Staton on August 1. Witnessed by Reuben W Staton and James Staton. [5]

Research Notes:

1841 Elizabeth Metcalf sold land to Henry Cockrum on the east side of Maple Creek adjoining land of Henry Cockrum. Witnessed by Andrew Metcalf. [6]

1843 Elizabeth Metcalf granted all of her belongings to her grandchildren by gift. Witnessed by William Richardson. [7]

Notes for Henry Cockerham of Maple Creek who had brother-in-law William Richardson. [8]
