1842 Jacob Winebrenner, spouse of Eliza, died on December 7 in Wayne County, Ohio. [2]

1843 Probate papers concerning the estate were recorded in Wayne County. Eliza Winebrenner was appointed administrator. Calvin J Winebrenner and John P Winebrenner made purchases at the estate sale. Eliza Winebrenner [perhaps the widow] took items at the appraisement. [3]

1860 J P Winebrenner (age 40, born in Maryland) lived in Decatur Ward 1, Macon County, Illinois, in a household with Augusta A Winebrenner (36), Eliza Mc Cleand (11), Frederick Schwab (22), and D S Shillebarger (25). J P Winebrenner's occupation was binding house.

1900 John P Winebrener (born in Maryland in Jan 1820, married for 6 years) lived in Decatur Ward 6, Macon County, Illinois, in a household with Martha Winebrener (38). John P Winebrener's parents were both born in Maryland. John P Winebrener was a tailor. [6]

1901 John B. Winebrenner, spouse of Augusta Winebrenner, died on December 12. He was born in 1821. [7]

Services Held Thursday From the Church of God.

The funeral of John Philip Winebrenner took place from the Church of God on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the service was well attended. They were conducted by Rev. D. H. Rupp, who spoke tenderly of the religious and pious life of Mr. Winebrenner and the good he had done for his brothers. Some of the examples of the tenderness of his nature were pictured by the preacher. A special quartet, composed of Mrs. Fritz, Clara Stare and Ella and Lillie Chandler furnished music for the services. The remains will be shipped this morning to Wooster, 0., where his first wife is buried.

HIS LIFE. John Winebrenner was well known in this city, at one time being one of the most prominent clothing salesmen of the city. He was born in Frederick county, Md., on Jan. 25, 1890. He was converted to the service of God when eleven years old. He was converted by the untiring efforts of his nephew, John Winebrenner, the founder of the Church of God. After his conversion he worked diligently for several years in helping his nephew spread the newly founded faith. He was married to Augusta A. Purdy at Hazerville, 0., on Sept. 24, 1844, and with her he lived for ten years, moving to this city and being employed by the Race Clothing company as a salesman. His first wife died on May 31, 1892, and was buried at Wooster, O. Two years later he married Miss Mattie Blevaing and moved to Chicago, where he was employed with the Putnam Clothing company as floor walker. Later he moved back to Decatur and worked for the Ottenheimer company for six months, then going to the B. Stine company and was employed there until he was stricken with paralysis about twelve weeks ago. Death relieved him of his sufferings on Dec. 10. He was 81 years old and had been for seventy years an active church worker. He leaves no children.

1887 Calvin George Winebrenner, spouse of Harriet Winebrenner, died on June 7 in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio. Calvin George Winebrenner was born in 1823 in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio. [12]
