1835 Cornelius Beasley appointed Richmond Baker, both of Cocke County, Tennessee, as his attorney on April 5. Cornelius was married to Nancy, who was a daughter of Francis Pickett deceased late of George County, Georgia. Cornelius' attorney was to represent the interests of Cornelius regarding the estates of Francis Pickett and of Shepherd Pickett, deceased brother of Nancy. [2]
