1811 John Wise, oldest son of Adam Wise of Allen Twp, Cumberland County, petitioned the Orphans Court to evaluate a 25 acres tract of land in Allen Twp adjacent to lands of Martin Diller and John Suleberger. Adam left widow Eve and 5 children: John, Jacob, Michael, George, and Elizabeth married to Adam Leonard and grandchildren by daughter Catharine married to Martin Harman: Elizabeth Harman married to George Pupp, John, Catharine, Margaret, Sarah, Jacob, and Martin Harman. 1811 On May 14, at the Orphans' Court at Carlisle, Cumberland County (date recorded, Docket 5-151), the 23 acre tract land owned by Adam Wise, deceased, of Allen Twp, Cumberland County, was not found to be suitable for partition among his heirs and was valued at $1080.44, after deducting costs. Oldest son John Weise asked that the land be confirmed to him. The court agreed upon John Weise arranging payment to the other heirs for their shares. Debts were recorded by John Weise and Jacob Weise to widow Eve ($316.14), Jacob Weise ($240.10+$120.05), Michael Weise ($240.10+$120.05), George Weise ($240.10+$120.05), Adam Leonard and wife Elizabeth ($240.10+$120.05), George Pupp and wife Elizabeth ($34.05+$17.025), John Harman ($34.05+$17.025), Catharine Harman ($34.05+$17.025), Margaret Harman ($34.05+$17.025), Sarah Harman ($34.05+$17.025), Jacob Harman ($34.05+$17.025), Martin Harman ($34.05+$17.025), and also Michael Longsdorf and wife Mary (late Mary Harman) [16]. This suggests that a daughter, deceased, had married Harman. [17] [18]
