Notes for Patience Scott

1782 Patience Scott was born on March 30, 1782 in Burlington County, New Jersey, child of Abraham Scott and Patience Rogers. [1] [2] [3]

1803 Charlton Barnes and Rebekah Kindell were married on August 23 in New Jersey. [4] [5]

1806 Thomas Scott, son of Abraham and Patience Scott, of Burlington Twp, and Mary Smith were married on May 14, at Mansfield Twp, Burlington County. Witnessed by Patience Scott, Junior, and others. [6]

1818 Patience Scott and Charleton Barns, both of Mount Holly, Burlington County were married on September 20 at Burlington County, New Jersey. [7] [8]

1819 Patience Scott, widow of Abraham Scott late of Northampton Twp, Burlington County, and other heirs sold land to John Tomlinson. The heirs were John Woolman and wife Leah, Elizabeth Walton, Grace Talbert, Abraham Scott and his wife Mercy Scott, Thomas Scott, Mary Scott, Charleton Barnes and wife Patience, Joshua Todd and wife Rebecca. Abraham Scott had purchased the land from John and Susanna Folwell on 13 of month 7, 1811. [9]

1819 The same parties sold land to William Hillyard on the first day of the third month, 1819. [10]

1820 Carlton Barns was taxed in Northampton Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [11]

1830 Charton Barnes lived in Green Twp, Clinton County, Ohio in a household with males: 1 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (60 thru 69); and females: 1 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (40 thru 49). [12]

1832 The will of Charlton Barnes was proved in April in Clinton county, Ohio. The will named Charlton Barnes (deceased), Sarah Joice (Daughter), Hamer Barnes (Son), Eliza Ann Barnes (Daughter), William Kitsil Barnes (Son), Mary Jane Barnes (Daughter), Rebecca Barnes (Daughter), Patience Barnes (Wife), Mahlon Rindell Barnes (Son, and Executor).
