Research Notes:

Research ambiguity: John Hinson, born about 1680, may have had sons named Bartlett and Philip. John Hinson also had a grandson named Bartlett through his son, Philip. John also had a great grandson named Bartlett, son of Benjamin, son of Philip. I am uncertain about distinguishing the notes for these men. I have put notes for Bartlett Hinson, who lived and died in Burke County, North Carolina in the notes for Bartlett, son of John. I have put notes for Bartlett Hinson, who lived and died in Fairfield County, South Carolina in the notes for Bartlett, son of Philip. I have put notes for Bartlett Hinson, who died in Anson County, North Carolina in the notes for Bartlett, son of Benjamin, except for a tax record of 1763, which is listed in the notes for Bartlett, son of John, since the other two Bartlett men would not be of taxable age at that time.
