Henry P. Stentz Was Monroeville's Most Prominent Citizen. SPECIAL TO THE PLAIN DEALER. MONROEVILLE, O., June 12.--The funeral of Henry P. Stentz, Monroeville's most prominent citizen and one of the best known bankers in northern Ohio, was held today. Mr. Stentz died suddenly while sitting in a chair Tucsday evening, having just recovered from a severe attack of pneumonia. He was sixty-five years of age and one of the Wealthiest men in Huron county. He was president of the First National bank in Monroeville and of the First National bank in Galion. He was a prominent Republican and two years ago was appointed by Gov. Nash as trustee of the Toledo State hospital.

Mrs. Anna M. Stentz, who was elected president of the First National Bank of Moronville, Ohio, a few days ago, is the first woman national bank president in the United States. A singular coincidence is the fact that she succeeds two husbands as president of this bank. Her first husband, O. W. Head, was the first president of the bank. She was married to him in 1872. Her second husband, Henry P. Stentz, was the successor of Mr. Head.

Mr. Starbird has started three suits in common pleas court for the collection of taxes and the defendants are Mrs. Annie M. Stentz, of Monroeville, and Mrs. Eliza E. Dennis, of this city. Mr. Starbird has filed two suits against Mrs. Stentz and one against Mrs. Dennis.

Mrs. Stentz is reputed to be the wealthiest woman in Huron county and was for a time president of the First National bank of Monroeville. In his first petition, Mrs. Stentz is made the defendant and it is claimed that there is due the county from her as back taxes the sum of $2,392.17, of which one-third is penalty. Aside from this, Mr.Starbird alleges that there is due him as further penalty, $119.60. In his second petition he sues Mrs. Stentz as administratrix of the estate of the late Henry P. Stentz. He alleges that Henry P. Stentz died June 9. 1903, and that there is due the county on back taxes from his estate, $6,- 209.64, while there is a further penalty of $310,48, one-third of the larger sum also being a penalty. Summons were served on Mrs. Stentz today.

Traction Magnate Is Woman.
Cleveland, O., April 26.-- Mrs. Anna M. Stentz, who has been managing two banks left to her by two husbands, is now the real head of the Sandusky, Norwalk & Mansfield Electric Railway company. Mrs. Stentz, who is nominally first vice president, two years ago made G. A. Bartholomew of Cleveland president. Recently Bartholomew, resigned, and Mrs. Stentz is now the power that controls the company's affairs.
