Other researchers report that Joseph was first married (23 SEP 1821) to Anna (19 OCT 1801-31 JUL 1822), with no children. Anna may have been Anna Schantz or Anna Cressman. Joseph was later married to Elizabeth Hoffman and they had 7 children. The two eldest children, whom we have not listed, were reportedly named Barbara (11 DEC 1825 - 18 Dec 1914) and Wendel H (29 AUG 1827 - 24 APR 1909).
Elizabeth Hoffman, daughter of George Hoffman, was born on February 12, 1795. Elizabeth Good Hoffman's spouse was Joseph Huber Bauman. [20]
