Notes for Julius Sanders

These are notes for Julius Sanders, named as a son in the will of William Sanders. Grand-daughter Mary Sanders was also named in the will with husband Philip Hinson. Some researchers identify Julius Sanders, spouse of Jemima Woodward, as the son of William Sanders. However, Julius Sanders husband of Jemima Woodward was likely born about 1720 and Mary Sanders wife of Philip Hinson was likely born about 1715, so they were perhaps siblings or cousins. William Sanders and Julius Sanders were witnesses to the will of William Carroll in 1734. Julius Sanders husband of Jemima Woodward was too young to be a witness to a will in 1734, so perhaps there was another Julius Sanders, son of William and father of Julius and Mary, as we speculatively show here.

1734 William and Julius Sanders witnessed the will of William Carroll in Goochland County, Virginia. Deed Book 2-31. [1]

1759 Julias Sanders and wife Jemimah of Albemarle sold land. [2]

1813 A marriage bond was recorded in Louisa County, Virginia. Julius Saunders [perhaps a grandson] and Bartlett Hinson and others were witnesses. [3]
