1870 Abraham Reed (age 52) lived in Union City, Elkhart County, Indiana, with wife Mary Reed and Noah (age 23), Aaron (age 21), Anna (age 21), Abraham (age 19), Mary (age 17), Lydia (age 17), and Elias (age 15). [1]

1873 Joel Snider and Mary Reed were married on October 5 in Elkhart County, Indiana by John Anglemyer. [2] [3]

1880 Joel Snider (age 32, born in Canada, married) lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Mary Snider (27), and Emma Snider (4). Joel Snider's parents were both born in Canada. Joel Snider was a farmer. [4]

1898 Joel Snider, spouse of Mary Snider, died on January 24. He was born on August 31, 1847 in Ontario, Canada, son of Abraham Snider and Magdalena Snider. [5]

1900 Mary Snider and Joseph Musser were married on November 18 in Elkhart County, Indiana. [6]

1910 Mary Musser (age 55, born in Ohio, married for 10 years), wife, lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Joseph Musser (71). Mary Musser's father was born in Virginia and her mother was born in Pennsylvania. Mary Musser could not read or write. [7]

1919 Joseph Musser, married, spouse of Mary Musser, died on September 19, at age 80 in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana. He was born on February 3, 1839 in Wayne County, Ohio, son of Isaac Musser and Frances Shirk. [8] [9]

1920 Mary Musser (born in Ohio), mother-in-law, lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with John W Martin (50), Emma Martin (44), and Mary Martin (14). Mary Musser's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Mary Musser could read and write. [10]

1933 Mrs. Mary Musser of Goshen was named in an obituary of her brother, Noah. [11]

1941 Mary Musser lived 5 miles west of Goshen, Indiana. (Source: brother Abraham's obituary).

1947 Mary Musser, widowed, died on December 9, at age 94 in Rural, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on December 12, 1852 in Ohio, daughter of Abrham Reed and Mary Weaver. [12] [13]

1948 An obituary for Mary Musser reported [14]:

Mary, daughter of Abraham I. and Mary (Weaver) Reed, was born in Mahoning County, Ohio, Dec 12, 1852; passed away after two days illness, Dec. 9, 1947; aged 94 y 11 m 27 d. At the age of 8 she moved with her parents to Elkhart, County, Indiana. On Oct. 5, 1873, she was united in marriage to Joel Snider, a deacon in the Mennonite Church., who predeceased her on Jan. 24, 1898. To this union were born 2 children (Emma S. Martin, Goshen, Indiana, at whose home she died; and Simon R., of Columbus, Ohio). On Nov. 18, 1900, she was married to Joseph Musser, who died on Sept. 19, 1919. Surviving besides the 2 children are 5 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and on great-great-grandchild, and 4 step grandchildren. She was a member of the Yellow Creek Frame Mennonite Church, Wakarusa, Indiana. During her long, active life her devotion and concern for the spiritual welfare of those around her was an inspiration to many. Funeral services were conducted by William Ramer and Paul Hoover. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church, on Dec. 12.

1957 Emma S Martin, spouse of John W Martin, died on February 28 in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on August 29, 1875 in Elkhart County, Indiana, daughter of Joel Snider and Mary Snider. [15] [16]

1962 Simon R Snider, spouse of Fausta Estella Snider, died on August 19 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. He was born on December 21, 1884 in Cheboygan County, Michigan, son of Joel Snider and Mary Snider. [17]
