Notes for Jacob W. Meals, son of Jacob:
1839 On 27 November, Jacob Meals, minor son of Jacob Meals, of Menallen Twp, deceased, above the age of 14, petitioned for a guardian because John Quickel, his guardian had died. Frederick Quickel, perhaps his brother-in-law, was appointed guardian. [1]
1845 Jacob W. Meals, son of Jacob Meals Jr, died on January 17, in his 24th year and was buried at Benders Lutheran Church Cemetery, Biglerville, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [2] [3] [4]

LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION on the estate of Jacob Meals, late of Menallen Township, deceased, have been granted to the subscribers, the first mentioned residing in same township and the other in Straban township. All persons indebted to said estate will make payment immediately, and those holding claims will present them properly authenticated to FREDERICK QU1CKEL, SAMUEL GILLILAND, January 27. 1845.1846 On May 26, at the Orphans' Court at Gettysburg, York County, Pennsylvania: "Came into court Samuel Gilliand and Frederick Quickle administrators of Jacob Meals dec'd and produced an account of their administrations as settled with the register." showing balance $74.63.
