1804 The Lincoln County Court of Georgia recorded the following. Frances Pickett owed money to Loveless Savage. James Pickett brought a complaint against Henry Shepherd. [1]
1806 James K Pickett and Francis Pickett and nephew Isaac Hawes were named as members of an organized horse-stealing operation. Benjamin Rennolds, perhaps a relative of the husband of sister Margaret was also named. Another horse thief in the gang named them in his confession, made just before he was hanged for the crime.
