1917 WW I draft registration (5 Jun 1917): William Durbrow Miles Jr., 3516 Baltimore Avenue, born 21 Jun 1895 in Kansas City, Missouri, was a salesman for the Ohio Electric Car Co. in Kansas City. He was 6 ft tall, of medium build, and had brown eyes and dark brown hair. He was single and had no dependents. [1]

1917 William Durbrow Miles, Jr., and Georgia Hill were married on July 21 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. [2]

1937 William Durbrow Miles and Anna Beall Ball were married on April 27 in Brownsville, Texas. [3]

Miss Ball Is Married To W. D. Miles
Captain and Mrs. W. W. Ball have announced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Anna Beall Ball, to Mr. William D. Miles, formerly of Weslaco, and now of Corpus Christi.
The ceremony was a very simple affair at which only members of the family were present. The rites were read Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock by Rev. Ray N. Johnson, pastor of the First Methodist church, in the pastor's study. The couple was unattended.
Immediately following the caremony, Mr. and Mrs. Miles left for San Antonio where they will spend several days before going on to Corpus Christi where they will make their home.
The marriage 1s of great interest to many in both Brownsville and the Valley. Mrs. Miles 1s a talented dancer, who has appeared on stages in Brownsville and other towns. Mrs. Miles attended Brownsville schools.
Mr. Miles, until recently was district director for the Federal Housing Administration. Before that he was director for the federal farm census made in the fifteenth congressional district. Prior to that time he was associated with his brother, Mr. Omar Miles, in the development of Progreso. He retired from the FHA into private business.

1950 with William D. Miles (age 54) and his wife Beall B. Miles (age 35) lived in Corpus Christi, Nueces, Texas, with their son William D. III Miles (age 9) and William's mother Annie M Miles (age 85). William the owner of a Mortage Loan Business and Beall was its secretary. William was born in Missouri, Beall in South Dakota, William III in Texas, and Annie in England. [6]

1966 On May 6, William Durbrow Miles, born 21 June 1895, son of William D Miles and Annie Haynes, died in Corpus Christi, Nueces, Texas. [7]

2010 Anna Beall Ball Miles Emmord died on December 23. An obituary states, [8]

Beall Ball Miles Emmord, 96, of Victoria, passed away on December 23, 2010. She was born on October 4, 1914 in Ft. Mead, South Dakota to the late Captain and Mrs. W. W. Ball. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. D. Miles Il and their son, W. D.
Miles III, and by her husband, Ralph F. Emmord. She is survived by her children, Nancy Turner, Joe and Linda Emmord, Laura Emmord, and Fred "Paul" and Larisa Emmord; her special niece, Kathleen Kennedy, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held Monday, December 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaside Memorial Park.
