1769 John Rorea Sr (150 acres), Jacob Rorea (150 acres), Christian Rorea (100 acres), and John Rorea Littel (200 acres), were taxed in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [2] [3] John Rorer, Jacob Rorer, John Rorer, and Jacob Rorer were listed as freemen. [4]

In 1788, Harmon Cook, a Colonist, led a group of settlers from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Pittsylvania, Virginia … On that wagon train headed for Pittsylvania with Harmon Cook was Phillip DeBoe II, …, neighbor John Rohrer and his family were in that wagon train also.

There were several John Rohrer families living in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County at about the same time. We have found DNA matches with John Rohrer (1740-1805), who died in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Other researchers suggest that he was a son of Johannes Rohrer and Elizabeth Snaveley. We show him as their son.
