1763 Johann Abraham Bely [Bailey], son of Johannes and Anna Maria Bely, was baptized on April 28, at age 21, by Daniel Schumacher, sponsored by Jacob Bely at Rosenthal, Allemangel. [1] [2]
1793 Abraham Bayley received a warrant, dated November 19, for 400 acres in Brunswick, Berks County. JW Seitzinger received a patent for the land on October 27, 1829. [3] [4] [5]
1803 A deed named the Children & Heirs of Anna Bresch's deceased Brother Abraham Bailey to wit, Margaret, Catharina, Jacob & Peter Bailey also deceased, and who left Issue Abraham, Barbara John, Jacob and Catharina Bailey who are yet in their minority. [6]
1805 Abraham and Barbara Bailey, minor children of Peter Bailey deceased [likely son of Abraham Bailey] chose uncle Philip Linn as their guardians at the orphans court in Reading, Berks County on January 8. [7]
1803 Heirs of Abraham Bailey deceased claimed their share of the estate of Anna Brisch, late of Linn Twp, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania on November 28. The heirs were Jacob Linn and wife Margaret, Peter Linn and wife Catharina, and Jacob Bailey, all of Northumberland. [8]
A Peter Bailey and wife Susanna lived and died in Greenwich Twp, Berks County. Based on the names of their children, this was perhaps Peter, son of Abraham. This Peter Bailey had brother-in-law Peter Linn.
1767 Peter Bailey was taxed in Greenwich Twp, Berks Co for 50 acres, 2 horses, 1 cattle, and 1 sheep. [9]
1768 Peter Bailey was taxed in Greenwich Twp, Berks Co for 50 acres, 2 horses, 1 cattle, and 2 sheep. [10]
1800 Peter Bailey lived in Greenwich Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (Under 10), 1 (10 thru 15), and 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 2 (Under 10), 1 (16 thru 25), and 1 (26 thru 44). [11]
1803 The intestate estate of Peter Bailey was administered. Letters of administration were issued on June 4 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The administration named widow Susanna Bailey and brother-in-law Peter Linn. [12] [13]
1804 Peter Bailey, late of Greenwich Twp, was deceased. Minor children John, Jacob, and Catharina were named. Eldest son Abraham petitioned the orphans court in 1811 on behalf of himself and the other heirs: Barbara wife of John Carl and minors John, Jacob, and Catharine Bailey. [14] [15]
1804 Susanna, widow of Peter Bailey deceased, petitioned the court to appoint guardians for minor children John, Jacob, and Catharine, under the age of 14. Valentine Brobst was appointed. [16]
1811 Abraham Bailey and wife Magdalena of Greenwich Twp sold land to Zettelmoyer on March 27. The land had been sold to Abraham Bailey (alias Boely) on March 20, 1787. Abraham sold the land to Peter Bailey on September 12, 1795. Peter who died intestate leaving widow Susanna and 5 children viz Abraham (party to this deed), Barbara wife of John Carl, John, Jacob, and Catherine. [17]
1837 A deed involved land that Abraham Bailey [son of Peter Bailey of Greenwich Twp] and wife Margaret had sold to Zettelmeyer on March 7, 1811. The land was subject to the dower rights of Susanna, widow of Peter Bailey. [18]
1851 Two sets of heirs of Peter Bailey claimed shares of Susanna's dower when she died. They appointed David Pullviler to recover assets from the dower of their late mother Susanna Bailey deceased, widow of Peter. [19]
1851 Jacob Bailey and wife Barbara and Catharine Rubright and husband Samuel Rubright, all of Mahoning County, Ohio, were heirs of Peter Bailey deceased late of Greenwich Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
1851 The children of John Bailey deceased were also grand children of Peter Bailey deceased of Greenwich Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
