1589 Margaret Trüssel, daughter of Claus Trüssel and Elsbeth Herman, was baptized on August 10 at Sumiswald, Bern, Switzerland. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
c 1610 Casper Schurch and Margaret Trussel were married and had several children. [8] [9]
1618 Hans Schürch, son of Caspar Schürch and Margaret Trüssel, was baptized on July 12 in Sumiswald, Bern, Switzerland. [10]
1621 Peter Schürch, son of Caspar Schürch züm Vogelsgsang [now Gsang bei Wasen] and Margaret Trüssel, was baptized on February 4 in Sumiswald, Bern, Switzerland. [11]
1627 Elsbeth Schürch, daughter of Caspar Schürch and Margaret Trüssel, was baptized on October 24 in Sumiswald, Bern, Switzerland. [12]
1627 Jacob Schürch, son of Caspar Schürch and Margaret Trüssel, was baptized on September 30 in Sumiswald, Bern, Switzerland. [13] [14]

1621 Casper Shurch lived at zum Vogelgsang in Sumiswald. Gsang (Ober Gsang and Unter Gsang) is a historic rural farm area and locality in Wasen im Emmental, Switzerland. It is known for its traditional Emmental farmsteads and connections to local Anabaptist history. A Schürch tour in 2026 reported the following:
… the tour continued to the Gsang homestead of Casper Schürch and Margaret Trüssel, birthplace of sons Ulrich Schürch, code E, and Jacob Schürch the father of Ulrich Schürch, code N. The homestead is now owned by Uli & Rosa Baugartner-Eggimann. It is located high above the valley overlooking the town of Hambuhl and homestead of the Grundbachs on the opposite hill, where the Maria Grundbach was born and later became the wife of Ulrich, Code N.
Fittingly, the next site visited was the birthplace of Ulrich, Code N, Stagmatt, home of Jacob Schürch and Barbara Brand. Built by Jacob, the homestead dates from about 1689. René and Doris Röthlisberger- Zürcher own the homestead. After lunch at Restaurant Krummholzbad, the group travelled to the Trachselwald Castle where Schürch Anabaptists were imprisoned, including Ulrich Schürch, Code E.
