Research Notes:

Some researchers have named Mary Ruhl, spouse of Arthur McCann, as a daughter of Jacob Ruhl and Elizabeth Hassler. This is incorrect. The will of Magdalena Ruhl, late of Hopewell Twp, York County, Pennsylvania names heirs son John and daughter Mary intermarried with Arthur McCann. Arthur was to receive nothing. The will was dated July 11, 1855. Who was Magdalena Ruhl of Hopewell? [9]
