1624 "Hanna ye Daughter of John Royse" was baptized on December 5 at Stamford St. Mary, Lincolnshire. [2]

1636 "Buried Sara Royse Wife of John Royse August 21" at Stamford St. Michael, Lincolnshire. [3]

1636 "John Royse & Anne Jackson" were married "Novemb i" at Stamford St. Michael, Lincolnshire. [4]

1638 "Elizabeth Royse Daughter of John Royse and Anne his wife" was baptized "May 5" at Stamford St. Michael, Lincolnshire. [5]

1638 "Elizabeth Royse Daughter of John Royse and Annis his wife" was buried "May 5" at Stamford St. Michael, Lincolnshire. [6]

1644 John Royse wrote his will on December 5. [7]

In the name of God Amen; The fyft day of December .1644. I John Royse of Stamford in the County of Lincolne Baker being aged and weake of bodie but of good and perfect memory god be praysed doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followeing First I commend my soule into the hande of god my maker hopeing assuredly thorough the only merrits of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be made pertaker of life everlasting And I commend my body to the earth where of it is made Item I giue and bequeath vnto Anne my loveing wife that my freehold tenemt in the parish of St George in Stamford aforesaid wch I lately purchased of Robert Fawecet gent To have and to hould the said Tenement wth all and every the appurtenants thereunto belonging vnto her the said Anne her heires and assignes forever Item I doe give and bequeath vnto my sonne Richard Royse five shillings of lawfull English money Item I doe give vnto my sonne Robert Royse, my daughter Sarah and my grandchild Elinor Sherman the wife of Henry Sherman five shillings a peece All which said legacies I will shalbe payed vpon demand att any tyme wthin a moneth after my decease. All the residue of my goods and Chattles not given nor bequeathed my debts and legacies being payed and my funerall expenses discharged I give and bequeath vnto Anne my loveing wife whoe I make sole executrix of this my last will and Testament. In witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and year first aboue written in the presence of these whose names are subscribed John Royse The said John Royse did publish this to be his last will & testamt in the presence of us Mathew Banworth, Thomas Hawney his mark Abraham Weedon his mark.

1645 The will of John Royse was proved on June 28 in London with administration granted to Anne Royse relict of the deceased. [8]

1647 "Ann Royce widdow was buried the same day [December 16]" at Stamford St George, Lincolnshire. [9] [10]
