In his will, dated April 2, 1605, Stephen Tomlin provided for his mother, "Item I will and bequeath vnto my naturall mother now the wyfe of Richard Thetcher duringe her naturall lyfe yeerely ten shillings of lawfull monie of England, to be paid vnto her at thannunciation of the virgin Mary and St Michaell the archangell by even portions, the first payment to begynne at that feast of the said feastfull daies wch shall next happen after my decease." He provided a similar annuity to his brother William Tomlyn, bequeathed to his two sisters Joane Trapham and Mary Tomlyn, and named his brother John Tomlyn overseer of his will.

1595/96 The noncupative will of Thomas Thomlin of Bekesborne was proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury on February 22, with administation granted to William Browning and Elizabethe Browninge lately the relict of the deaceased. The noncupative will was dated 22 May 1594 (about a year after the burial date of Thomas) and stated, [23]
