1715 Johann Heinrich Volz, child of Heinrich Volz and Maria Catharina Volz, was baptized on March 24 in Evangelische Kirche Schwaigern, Brackenheim, Württemberg, Germany with sponsors Andreas Eberlin and Matheus bloner(?). Heinrich Voltz was a sponsor for the adjacent baptism of a daughter of Matheus Hoffart. [1] [2]
1737 Hendrick Foltz arrived in Philadelphia on October 8 on the ship Charming Nancy. [3]
1739 Joh Heinrich Foltz and Maria Eva Blümin were married on June 25 at Muddy Creek Church, Warwick Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [4] [5]

1762 The will of Henry Foltz of Warwick Twp was dated October 12. The will was proved on December 12 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. The will named wife Eva, Barbara Foltz (Daughter) wife of Andrew Heck (Son-in-law), Eva (Daughter) wife of Adam Kle (Son-in-law), Ann Foltz (Daughter), Elizabeth Foltz (Daughter under age 18), Catharina Foltz (Daughter under age 18), and Susannah Foltz (Daughter under age 18) and son Henry. Wife Eva was the sole executor. The will was proved on December 8. [16]
1762 Johann Henrich Volz died on October 20 at Pennsylvania and was buried at Rothsville United Zion Cemetery, Rothsville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Johann Henrich Volz was born on March 24, 1715. [17] [18] Another source reports a death date of October 12. [19]

1765 Eva Foltz received a patent for 138 acres of land from the estate of Henry Foltz on September 28, for the use of son Henry. Eva paid the fee out of the said testators personal estate. The patent was granted to Eva "in trust for herself for life then to the use of the said Henry the son". [20] [21] A survey of an adjacent tract was made in 1765 showing this tract belonging to Widow Fultz. [22]

1739 Johan Heinrich Volz (born in 1715 in Germany) and Eva Roland were married in Pennsylvania. Where in Pennsylvania? [33] Many researchers name wife Roland as the mother of Henry's children.
1777 Henry Foltz Jr and Sr served in Captain Roland's Company of Leacock Twp. Could this explain the marriage of Henry Foltz and Eva Elizabeth Roland? [34]
1792 The estate of Henry Foltz of Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County was administered by John Foltz and Henry Foltz and was presented to the orphans court. [35] [36]
1807 Elizabeth Roland was buried on June 8 at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Leola, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Note that Leola is in Leacock Twp. [37] [38] [39]

There was an Andrew Hoog Sr. with wife Eve and son Andrew in Warwick Twp, Lancaster County during this time. Perhaps Andrew Hock Jr married Barbara Volz Bender in 1762 and lived with father Andrew Hoog Sr until about 1781 and moved elsewhere about 1786.

1763 Andrew Heck and wife Barbara, late Barbara Bender widow of Leonard Bender deceased, petitioned the Orphans Court of Lancaster County. A 76 acre tract with an encumbrance to Leonard's father Hannus Bender and a son age 3 were mentioned. [59]

1812 Barbara Volz Heck was buried at Old Salem Church Cemetery, Boonsboro, Washington County, Maryland. Barbara Volz Heck was born in 1740. No documentation is provided. The note below is from the findagrave memorial. [75] [76]

Barbara was the widow of Leonard Bender when she married Andreas/Andrew Heck; her maiden name was never found directly by me, but was listed by a poster on ancestry.com who says Barbara was the daughter of Johann Heinrich & Eva Elizabeth Roland "Foltz," both of Schwaigern, Heilbronn, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. Same poster had Johann Foltz with a son named Peter by a different woman, and Peter's surname changed to Leinweber/Lineaweaver at some time.
But there's something about those years that doesn't make sense in this, and makes me wonder if it was actually Eva Roland Volz who was the one who had a second marriage (her marker looks like she died c.1802)...and it was to Mr. Lineaweaver as I HAD already in years past found Barbara Bender connected to such a family with sons/brothers Henry, Peter, and Benjamin!
Their grave markers may be long gone, but the home built by Andrew and Barbara Heck in the 18th century is still standing in nearly original condition at #14 Main Street in Boonsboro, Maryland. …
