A Genealogy of the Meisser Family reports [2]
JACOB MYSER 4/2, son of Johann Adam Meiser 3/9 (Johann Michael Meiser 2/2, Johan Jurg Meisser 1/1) and Mary Eckhart, was born in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania in 1784. He died in 1854 and is buried in the Chili Lutheran Cemetery, Chili, Ohio. He married Catherine Fensler, daughter of Philip Fensler and Mary Magdelene Philip 7/1 Fensler fought in the War of 1812. He came to Crawford Township, Coshocton County, Ohio, from Pennsylvania in 1816 and laid out the town of Chili, Ohio.
We read in the history of Coshocton County that Jacob Myser 4/2 came to Crawford Township, Coshocton County, Ohio in 1815. He took up land just east of the town of Chili, where he made his home. He also purchased the 'hree farms east of his home, so his land holdings were from Chili to Pearl, Ohio. Jacob willed the home farm of eighty acres to his son, Samuel, who in turn was to keep his parents in their old age and give them a decent burial.
