Notes for Johannes Gerberich and Elizabetha Ruhl

1788 Elisabeta Ruhl, daughter of Henrich Ruhl and Creta Ruhl, was born on January 9. She was baptized on February 24, with sponsors Wentel Heuss and Elisabetha Heuss, perhaps at Fissel's church. [1]

1829 John Gerberich and family moved to Ohio in 1829.

1830 Betsy Gerberich was named as a daughter in the will of Henry Ruhl of Sandusky Twp, Richland County, Ohio. John Gerberich was also named in the accounts. [2]

1849 John Gerberich, of Polk Twp, Crawford County, Ohio, wrote his will on June 13. The probate date was April 2, 1851. The will mentioned his wife and named sons Samuel, John, Isaac, Henry, and Michael Gerberich; and daughters Mary married to John Korfman, Elizabeth married to John Schweitzer, Susanna married to Thomas Reinhart. [3]

1850 John Garverick (age 68) and Elizabeth Garverick (age 63) lived in Polk Twp, Crawford County, Ohio with John Garverick (age 25), Henry Garverick (age 21), Elizabeth Swisher (insane) (age 35), Mary Swisher (age 13), Ann Swisher (age 11). The family of Samuel Garverick (age 31), cabinetmaker, was listed adjacent. [4]

1852 Johans Gerberich was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Crawford County, Ohio. [5] [6]

1852 Elizabeth Ruhl Gerberich was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Crawford County, Ohio. [7] [8]

1854 John Garbrick and Samuel Garbrick presented the account of the estate of John Garbrick, deceased, to the Crawford County, Ohio court. [9]

1856 Son John Gerberich petitioned the other siblings and their heirs to partition land from the estate. [10]

NOTICE. ELIZABETH GARBERICK widow of John Garbrick deceased. John Curfman and Mary his wife, Thomas Rhinehart and Susan his wile. Samuel Garbrick, Isaac Garbrick, Henry Garbrick, Elizabeth Garbrick, daughter of said deceased, Amanda Garbrick. Minerva Garbrick, Elizabeth Garbrick, daughter of Michael Garbrick deceased, and Chalmer Garbrick, will take notice that a petition was filed against them, August 22, 1856, in the Court of Common Pleas, of Crawford County, Ohio, by Jonn Garbrick, and is now pending, wherein the said John Garbrick demanded partition of the north west part of the south east quarter, of section thirty in township sixteen, of range twenty-one in said county, containing one hundred and forty-eight acres, and that at the next term of said Court, to wit: December 8. 1856, application will be made by said John Garbrick for an order that partition may be made of said premises. FRANKLIN ADAMS, Attorney for Petitioner. September 4, 1856.

1875 John Curfman, spouse of Mary Magdalena Curfman, died on February 25 in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio. He was born on December 25, 1803 in Frederick County, Maryland. [12]

1885 Mary Magdalena Curfman, spouse of John Curfman, died on November 29 in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio. She was born on January 22, 1809 in York County, Pennsylvania, daughter of John Gerberich and Elizabetha Gerberich. [13]

1866 John S. Swisher, spouse of Mary Ann Easterday, died on March 25 in Crawford County, Ohio. He was born on August 12, 1812 in Pennsylvania, son of John Henry Swisher and Mary Magdalena Swisher. [14]

1876 Elizabeth Swisher, spouse of John S Swisher, died on April 24 in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio. She was born on May 3, 1810 in York County, Pennsylvania, daughter of John Gerberich and Elizabetha Gerberich. [15]

1850 Thomas Rhinehart (age 36, born in Ohio) lived in Polk Twp, Crawford County, Ohio, in a household with Susanna Rhinehart (33), Leah B Rhinehart (12), Amanda J Rhinehart (9), Ruth A Rhinehart (7), John Rhinehart (36), Catharine Rhinehart (37), Clementine Rhinehart (11), Franklin Rhinehart (9), Angeline Rhinehart (1), and Emeline Rhinehart (1). Thomas Rhinehart was a farmer. [16]

1873 Thomas J. Rinehart, spouse of Susanna Rinehart, died on April 11 in Crawford County, Ohio. He was born on January 4, 1812 in Jefferson County, Ohio, son of John Rinehart and Barbara Rinehart. [17]

1886 Isaac Henry Garberich, spouse of Susannah Garberich, died on August 18 in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio. He was born on October 31, 1824 in York County, Pennsylvania, son of John Gerberich and Elizabetha Gerberich. [18]

1887 Susanna Rinehart, spouse of Thomas J Rinehart, died on February 24 in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio. She was born on July 3, 1815 in York County, Pennsylvania. [19]
