We seek evidence about the name Johns for Susanna. Perhaps her parents were named Thomson, as the deeds above suggest and she married to Johns? We have seen reports of this possibility.

Deed records in Rutherford County, North Carolina indicate that Susannah Johns was a daughter of Samuel Thomson/Thompson and wife Elizabeth. There are several court records in the 1780's that show Samuel Thomson with a wife Elizabeth.
