1729 On 14 of month 6, Jacob Andrews desired a certificate to visit friends in Long Island and James Pharo signified his freedom to go with him for his companion; Gervas Pharo and Richard Willits were to inquire. The certificate was granted on September 11. [1]

1731 James Pharo, of Little Egg Harbor, and Ruth Smith, of Cape May, declared their intention to marry. [2] [3] [4]

1735 On November 6, The Chesterfield meeting reported that "Our Friends of Little Egg Harbour Monthly Meeting have made complaint in writing against Joshua Shreve charging James Pharo with a false affirmation. A committee was appointed to investigate. [5]

1741 On 12 of month 11, a certificate for Ruth Pharo, from Cape May meeting, was received and accepted. Reported at the Little Egg Harbor meeting. [6] [7]

A Pharo genealogy reports: Timothy Pharo, son of James Pharo and Ruth Smith, was born in 1742. Timothy Pharo was married to Hannah. Timothy Pharo died in 1810. [8]

1747 A FindaGrave memorial reports that Ruth Pharo died on March 23 in Egg Harbor City, Atlantic County, New Jersey. Ruth Pharo was buried at Friends Burial Ground, Tuckerton, Ocean County, New Jersey. She was born on June 4, 1711 in Egg Harbor City, Atlantic County, New Jersey. [9]

1760 Uncle James Pharo died on 2 of month 3 (March) 1760, in Burlington County, New Jersey, as recorded in the Chesterfield meeting records. [10]. Will of James Pharo yeoman of Chesterfield, Burlington County, New Jersey. Seeman, dated Nov. 17, 1757, proved Mar. 28, 1760, mentions cousin James, son of Jarvis Pharo, deceased, and the children of cousin James:--Jarvis, Amos, Timothy, James, Elizabeth and Ann; Avis, wife of Samuel Scholey; cousin George Holloway and his sons Isaac and George; John and George, sons of cousin John Holloway, dec'd. Owned 126 acres at Barnegat, home farm and personal property. The will provides the names of three of his Holloway nephews (called "cousins"), his niece Avis (Holloway) Scholy, and 10 grand nephews and nieces. James cared for nephew George Holloway after the death of George's father. James married Rebecca, named executrix of his estate. Executor and residuary legatee: cousin James Holloway. Witnesses: Joseph Reckless, Isaac Decow, Sam Harris. Inventory 126.14.8, including bonds: made by Issac Decow and Joseph Reckless Mar. 25, 1760. Account of Rebekah Holloway, sole Executrix of James Holloway, the Executor named, who reports the estate her debtor of 73-2-5, Feb. 4, 1765. (Lib. 9, page 427)[11]

1774 A FindaGrave memorial reports that James Pharo Sr died on August 1 in Stafford Twp, Ocean County, New Jersey. James Pharo Sr was buried at Friends Burial Ground, Tuckerton, Ocean County, New Jersey. He was born on May 28, 1702 in Little Egg Harbor, Ocean County, New Jersey. [12]

1810 A FindaGrave memorial reports that son Timothy Pharo died on September 15. Timothy Pharo was buried at Friends Burial Ground, Tuckerton, Ocean County, New Jersey. Timothy Pharo was born on August 15, 1742. [13]

A FindaGrave memorial reports that Amos Pharo was born on December 24, 1737 in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey. The death reported in 1840 seems dubious.

A biosketch reports: James Pharo, son of James Pharo and Elizabeth Willits, was born in 1702. James Pharo and Ruth Smith were married in 1731. They had a child named Gervas. [15]
