1850 Lewis Stevens (age 53, born in Tennessee) lived in Yazoo County, Mississippi, in a household with Benjamine F Stevens (12). Lewis Stevens was a planter. [13] The adjacent household, on the prior page of the census listed the family of William Pickett (age 46). [14] Perhaps Benjamin was a son of Celia Pickett Stevens (deceased), Lewis Stevens was the widow of Mary Ann Pickett Stevens, and William Pickett was the brother of Celia and Mary Ann.
1853 M. Pickett announced that he would present an account of his guardianship of Rufus K and Lewis Stevens at the Yazoo county court. [15] [16]
